March 20 is one of the many historic days in Theodore Roosevelt's life. That evening in 1912, he addressed the audience with the Right of the People to Rule, in this post.
On March 20, 1918, he wrote a letter, "My Debt To Maine." An emotional letter written by Theodore Roosevelt was originally published in 1919, after TR died, in a book titled Maine My State by The Maine Writers Research Club. The letter features TR talking about his experiences with the William "Bill" W. Sewall Family and the Wilmot S. Dow Family. The Sewalls and Dows spent time with TR in Maine and in North Dakota.
Late in March 1912, TR was working hard to become the Republican Party nominee for the Presidential Election later that year. This address was a week before he attended the Republican Party convention in Portland, Maine, on Saturday, March 23, 1912.
Theodore Roosevelt was a passenger aboard the Portland-Lewiston Interurban, No. 14, "Elegant Ride," Narcissus, on August 18, 1914. TR was campaigning for the Progressive Party candidates in Maine, while visiting communities between Lewiston and Portland. The Narcissus is currently being restored at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine, to be a fully operational historic electric interurban. The Narcissus is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Theodore Roosevelt was a passenger on the Narcissus on August 18, 1914, between Lewiston and Portland, Maine, while campaigning for the Progressive Party candidates.
