With donor commitments at the time, the restoration of the Narcissus was expected to be completed in 24 months. Sadly, COVID stepped in during March 2020. That changed donors' financial commitment. Restoration of the Narcissus is moving forward at a much slower pace. Significant financial support is needed to complete the restoration work. Please consider donating to the Narcissus.

     The Narcissus is featured in the national Gold Award-winning novel, Teddy Roosevelt, Millie, and the Elegant Ride. The "Elegant Ride" is the Narcissus. Theodore Roosevelt was a passenger on the Narcissus on August 18, 1914, between Lewiston and Portland, Maine, while campaigning for the Progressive Party candidates.
