With donor commitments at the time, the restoration of the Narcissus was expected to be completed in 24 months. Sadly, COVID stepped in during March 2020. That changed donors' financial commitment. Theodore Roosevelt was a passenger on the Narcissus on August 18, 1914, between Lewiston and Portland, Maine, while campaigning for the Progressive Party candidates.
