$2,000 Heritage Preservation Grant for restoration work on the roof and windows!
The assessment of the roof and clerestory area was done on June 29. Based on this assessment an initial 30-day plan was developed with an eye toward the scope of work to be done over the next 3 months and also looking at various work that can be completed over the late fall and winter. Very exciting :)

We continue the restoration work on the 1912, Narcissus, the only surviving high-speed, luxury interurban coach of the Portland-Lewiston Interurban.

The Narcissus is featured in the national Gold Award-winning novel, Teddy Roosevelt, Millie, and the Elegant Ride. The "Elegant Ride" is the Narcissus. Theodore Roosevelt was a passenger on the Narcissus on August 18, 1914, between Lewiston and Portland, Maine, while campaigning for the Progressive Party candidates.
